garmin 530 gps
Can anyone recommend a good Garmin GNS 430/530 training DVD/CD-ROM?

…that doesn’t cost a fortune? I looked at the King Schools and Sporty’s ones and then looked at the prices — aaaack! $275+!!!

Is there a course out there that is good for $100 or less?

I mainly want to impove my efficiency/understanding with setting up various instrument approaches, including GPS/RNAV, DME arcs, and localizers.
Warbird Pilot: I forgot to mention, I tried watching the one on the Garmin website and almost fell asleep after 2 minutes. It was incredibly dry and not at all engaging.

Jeppesen Interactive Garmin GNS 430/530 Software is around $150.
Or you could come to where I am, I could get you thoroughly checked out in the 530 in a couple of days . (The training software would be MUCH cheaper )
I recommend yo go to Garmins site and down load the simulator.

and play with that for a few hours. much better training environment at home than trying it first in the cockpit (although it CAN be done).
