How can I change Media files to MP3 on my computer?

I have bought a Nuvi 660 gps,it will only download mp3 files from my computer,it will not download anything marked media files,I have alot of music that is on media files that i need to get changed to mp3 so i download to my gps,can anyone help?

If, by ‘media files’ you mean Windows ‘.wma’ files you need to obtain a converter program. I use a program called Tunebite that I have been extremely pleased with. It costs about $20, at least when I bought it online a couple of years ago.
